Lisa's convinced me to take a summer course at a local college. She still hasn't given up hope that I'll quit the Vatican and become a typical, productive member of her Earth's society.

I'll admit that I have some passing interest in the universities here-- I could never go back and attend one in the Fire Nation or Earth Kingdom, even if I wanted to-- but I don't think she understands that I'm never going to be typical.

Nice choice, I've always liked a bit of history. Not that I'm biased or anything, of course.

Oh, it wouldn't surprise me. What parts of history are you studying exactly?
timey_wimey: (the drunk)

Ah. Yeah, I've wound up somewhere in that time once or twice before... usually by accident, to be honest. Too many fixed points I might be tempted to mess with. But every so often Winston Churchill takes advantage of the fact that he knows how to call the time vortex directly and calls me in. Usually out of order from my perspective, if I'm honest.

[ it's alright he still thinks earth terms are weird sometimes ]

They call it Prime Minister in the UK, but it's more or less the same job, yeah.
timey_wimey: (it's all in your mind)

Mostly, yeah. Enough still slips through that you get your conspiracy theorists collecting information about me, though. Well, a few of them. Well, in my universe, anyway. I'm not sure if I have any parallel versions of myself outside of the ones that show up here.
timey_wimey: (but we don't know the half of it)

What, not being mentioned in the books?

Oh, that. A little, I suppose, but only because that means they usually end up getting hurt.

My adventures tend to veer into the dangerous a lot of the time, and a lot of the time anyone investigating me or them tend to get dragged into it all sooner or later.

Once or twice, yeah.
timey_wimey: (you say the word; we'll get there soon)

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2012-07-25 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Haruhi, you mean? Well... yeah, I suppose there were one or two rough patches where she was concerned. Mostly to do with my terrible parenting.

I'm a 900 year old alien who has a habit of getting into dangerous situations without even trying, whose mates tend to wander off deeper into said situations as soon as I turn my back and who at the time lived in a blue box that was bigger on the inside. Add that to the fact that I was hundreds of years out of practice and it's not too hard to figure out where the road bumps were.
timey_wimey: (and lift the shame)

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2012-09-08 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, no, I suppose when you put it that way... still, it felt like it sometimes. If I'm being completely honest, it feels that way with everyone I end up taking with me, most of the time.
