On Lisa's world, the United States has started to become obsessed with choosing their next leader. Mobs stand out in front of public buildings waving signs, the candidates go on television to insult and yell at each other, and for some reason, the only people considered seem to be men.

I don't think I'm ever going to stop preferring monarchies. They're so much less messy.

I have trouble believing that it does.

I can't even begin to imagine the kind of utter madness that might cause.

I already think that a lot of what's going on right now is madness, and I'm sure it's only going to get worse. The actual election is ten months away.

Is the entire country just a never-ceasing mess?

Probably, in a lot of ways.

Hm. I wonder how it manages to function with such a mess of leadership.

I have plans about what to do if the entire society crumbles and we have to go somewhere else to keep Lisa safe.

That's certainly good to hear, then.

I wouldn't leave her to the mercy of a broken world.
